EDTA anticoagulant

Sodium citrate anticoagulant
Sodium citrate will chelate with calcium ions in the blood to form soluble substances, thus preventing blood coagulation. The coagulation mechanism is that sodium citrate has a good protective effect on coagulation factors, so its activity slows down, so it is often used in the examination of blood coagulation items. It is also used to determine erythrocyte sedimentation rate. 

Potassium oxalate anticoagulant

The principle of its action is that oxalate can form calcium oxalate precipitation with calcium ions in blood samples, so it has no blood coagulation function, so it is often used to detect the anticoagulation of blood samples. As long as a certain amount of potassium oxalate solution is added to the tube, slowly rotate so that the solution is distributed around the pipe wall, and then dry it in a drying oven at 80 ℃. Pay attention to the temperature can not be too high, too high easy to make potassium oxalate decomposition and failure, each tube can make 3-5 ml of blood does not coagulate.
