GITR (glucocorticoid-induced tumor necrosis factor receptor), also known as AITR or TNFRSF18, is a new member of the TNFR superfamily and plays a role in immune regulation.
So far, people have studied more about the role of GITR signal in the acquired immune system, but the research on innate immunity is limited. Innate immunity is an important part of body immunity. Mononuclear macrophages are processing antigens, activating lymphocytes, and phagocytosis Bacteria and other aspects have important functions. When effector T cells are activated, there will be a temporary upregulation of GITR. When the GITR signal is triggered, the inhibitory effect mediated by TGFβ-1 can be abolished.
