Diagnostic indicators for acute kidney injury, which can be used for preparing antibodies or preparing calibration and quality control substances

Human neutrophil gelatinase-associated apolipoprotein (Neutrophilgelatinase-associated lipocalin, NGAL)

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a clinical syndrome caused by a decline in kidney function caused by a variety of reasons in a short period of time. So far, AKI is still a very common and serious clinical problem. The lack of specific early clinical diagnostic indicators is the main obstacle to the treatment of the disease, resulting in a high incidence and mortality of AKI. Human neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (NGAL) is a highly effective new AKI clinical diagnostic marker for early kidney injury. If treated in the early stages of AKI, it can greatly reduce the incidence of renal failure. Therefore, early diagnosis of AKI has become a key factor in the treatment of nephropathy. Cystatin C is currently widely used in clinical diagnosis of early kidney injury. However, in comparison, the diagnostic value of NGAL in the early stage of acute kidney injury is greater than that of cystatin C.

NGAL provided by our company is a human-derived recombinant protein with strong immunogenicity. It can be used as an antigen to prepare high-efficiency NGAL antibodies. It can also be used as a positive control or standard for detection.
