Hemolysin O antigen (streptolysin O, SLO)
The hemolysin O (streptolysin O, SLO) produced by hemolytic streptococci has strong antigenicity. Most patients with streptococcal infection can detect SLO antibodies from 2 to 3 weeks after infection to months or even 1 year after recovery. Clinical testing of ASO (anti-streptococcal hemolysin O) helps to diagnose diseases caused by hemolytic streptococci such as acute glomerular disease, rheumatoid, scarlet fever and tonsillitis.
The SLO provided by the company is a human-derived recombinant protein expressed in E. coli. It has high immunogenicity and can provide core materials for the anti-streptococcal hemolysin O detection kit. It can also be used as a quality control standard or positive control for detection .
