Golgi membrane protein GP73 antibody (GP73 Antibody, GOLM1)

Golgi membrane protein 1, also known as Golgi membrane protein 73 (GP73), Golgi phosphorylated protein 2 or GOLM1, is a member of the GOLM1 / CASC4 family. GP73 is commonly expressed in the body, and it is mainly expressed by epithelial cells. GP73 is highly expressed in the colon, prostate, trachea, and stomach, but low in testes, muscles, lymphoid tissues, white blood cells, and spleen. GP73 is rarely expressed in the liver of normal people, but when hepatocytes are infected with viruses (HBV, HCV), it can cause a sharp increase in GP73 expression. Non-viral-induced liver disease (such as alcoholic liver, autoimmune hepatitis) does not cause an increase in the expression of GP73, so increased expression of GP73 in hepatocytes can be used as a sign of advanced liver disease. Large amounts of GP73 expression can be detected in hepatocyte fusion giant cells of adult cytomegalovirus hepatitis (GCH) patient tissues. GP73 is generally expressed in epithelial cells of the biliary tract, but not by liver cells.

The GP73 antibody of our company has a high potency and can be directly used for the development or production of GP73 detection reagents.
