Endoglin (CD105, cell membrane glycoprotein)
Cell membrane glycoprotein (CD105) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein with a molecular weight of approximately 90 kDa and belongs to the zona pellucida (ZP) protein family. Cell membrane glycoproteins and β-glycans (TβRⅢ) are type III receptors for ligands of the transforming growth factor β superfamily, and are identical to 71% of amino acids in the transmembrane (TM) and cytoplasmic domains. Cell membrane glycoproteins are highly expressed in proliferating vascular endothelial cells, chondrocytes and term placental syncytiotrophoblasts, in addition to hematopoietic cells, mesenchymal and neural crest stem cells, activated monocytes, lymphoid and myeloid leukemia cells expression.
As a co-receptor for TGF-β superfamily ligands, cell membrane glycoproteins do not directly bind to TGF-β1 and TGF-β3, but are associated with TGF-β type II receptors (TβRⅡ) and activate their downstream Signal pathway. In addition, in human umbilical vein endothelial cells, ALK-1 is also a cell membrane glycoprotein threonine phosphorylation receptor kinase. Mutation of any of the above two genes will cause autosomal dominant hereditary vascular development abnormalities. Hemorrhagic telangiectasia (HHT). Cell membrane glycoproteins have been considered as a powerful biomarker for the formation of new blood vessels and are associated with a variety of solid tumors.
The cell membrane glycoprotein provided by our company is a genetically recombinant protein derived from mammalian cells. It has the characteristics of high purity, good immunogenicity and high biological activity.
