(2-Acetylamino)-iminodiacetic acid is referred to as ADA, which belongs to the acetamido series in the buffer family. ADA powder is usually dissolved with sodium hydroxide to obtain the pH value of ADA buffer for stable solution in biochemical research. The pH value of ADA in aqueous solution is 1.5-3.0, which is acidic. When added to the experimental solution, its high activity ranged from 5.8 to 7.4.

In terms of physical properties, it is a crystalline powder. The better quality ADA raw material is white, odorless, easily soluble in water, and has a density of 1.5257g per cubic centimeter. In terms of chemical properties, ADA buffer is relatively active, it has a strong ability to bind metal ions, and can complex with calcium, magnesium, manganese, copper, nickel, zinc, cobalt, etc., so it is not recommended for use in reaction solutions that require metal cations ADA buffer.
As a raw material, ADA is often used to remove sulfur dioxide from semi-water gas, or as an additive in dyestuffs. In experiments, in order to prevent the protein from being oxidized, ADA can be added to prevent its irreversible reaction. As a buffer, ADA can be used in the preparation of ampholytes and in the study of cardiac contractile cells. Because of its low protein dependence, ADA can support CEF cell survival in the medium even in the absence of protein. It should be noted that ADA cannot be used to study canine kidney activity because it inhibits ATPase activity.
The anti-oxidation of ADA buffer is not strong, and it will oxidize with oxygen in the air when it is placed for a long time. Although the reaction process is slow, in order to avoid the deterioration of the solution and affect the experimental results, it is recommended to use it in time after configuration. Our usual packaging method is 25kg per cardboard drum, or customized packaging. ADA powder needs to be stored in airtight containers and has a shelf life of 2 years at a temperature of 4-25°C.
