MOPS is a biological buffer with white crystal powder, suitable for biochemical research and diagnostic kits. This product needs to be sealed and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated environment. Application

MOPS has high solution transparency and is non-toxic to cultured cell lines. It can be used as cell culture medium and biopharmaceutical buffer formulation (upstream and downstream). Because the buffer of MOPS can be used for the biological process of purification of antibodies, peptides, proteins and blood components, it can also be used as a physiologically relevant buffer, such as for the cultivation of mammalian cells, RNA denaturing agarose gel electrophoresis experiments, discontinuous Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, etc.

3-Morpholine propanesulfonic acid preparation

1. Synthesis of 3- (N-morpholine) ionic liquid

First, mix morpholine and acid with a molar ratio of 1:1~5:1, stir in the temperature of -10℃~80 and inert gas for 6-48h, wash, and then carry out vacuum distillation to obtain liquid for standby. The acid is hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid and hydroiodine One or more of acid, acetic acid, concentrated sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, concentrated nitric acid, tetrafluoroboric acid, hexafluorophosphoric acid, methylsulfonic acid, p-benzenesulfonic acid or trifluoromethylsulfonic acid;

3.Synthesis of sodium 3-(N-morpholine) Propanesulfonate

When the obtained 3-(N-morpholine) sodium salt is passed through the cation exchange resin column, the ion exchange reaction takes place between the 3-(N-morpholine) sodium salt and the resin to form 3-(N-morpholine) sodium propionate;

4.Synthesis of sodium 3-(N-morpholine)-2-hydroxypropylsulfonate

Add sodium 3-(N-morpholine) propane sulfonate to the kettle type bubbling reactor, then add a certain amount of positioning agent, inject the diluted S03 gas at 100℃-120℃, then use the super thermostat to conduct water bath constant temperature for the reactor, control the reaction temperature, and carry out stirring treatment at the same time. The stirring time is 20~40min, then remove the reactant, and stir gently with a glass rod, cooling, when the crystal is precipitated, carry out suction filtration, and take the crystal after suction filtration for standby;

5.Refining of 3 - (n-morpholine) - 2-hydroxypropylsulfonic acid sodium

The crystal after filtration was dissolved in glycerine aqueous solution, and the solution was distilled by steam to obtain high purity sodium 3-(N-morpholine)-2-hydroxypropylsulfonate.
