Because its molecular structure contains 52% to 68% of acid groups, it has a certain acidity. The pH value of the 1% aqueous dispersion is 2.5 to 3.0, and the viscosity is low. When neutralized with alkali, the viscosity gradually increases as the macromolecules gradually dissolve, forming a clear solution at low concentrations, and forming at higher concentrations Translucent gel, the gel formed has the maximum viscosity and consistency at pH 6-12, and the viscosity drops when pH <3 or pH> 12.
